A contemporary home in a traditional neighbourhood, resolved to satisfy both.
Hancock Park has strong expectations about what a house should look like from the street. This one is unmistakably contemporary, but its massing, setback and roof pitch are drawn from its neighbours, which is why it reads as belonging rather than intruding.
The twilight elevation is the project photograph for a reason — the lighting design was drawn at the same time as the electrical plan rather than added at the end, and every fixture is either concealed or intentional.
